1day beauty: guide to flawless liquid velvet application

Hi guys! Corinne here. Sharing my favourite way to apply our Liquid Velvets for a flawless application. 

With 7 shades to choose from, you've got options. My recommendation is always to go for a shade that is slightly darker than your complexion to achieve that my lips but better look. As someone with a medium complexion, my go-to is Sand lipliner X Dainty liquid velvet. 

Lets get started!

STEP 1: EXFOLIATE

Exfoliate your lips! (1day beauty lip scrub coming soon). Don't skip this step! You want your liquid velvet to apply as smoothly as possible, and starting with exfoliated lips ensures you'll have the perfect canvas. 

STEP 2: HYDRATE 

Hydrate your lips with your favourite lip balm! I LOVE dabbing a conservative amount of Cat Calls to the centre of my lips. Because its enriched with rich emollients, it preps my lips with the perfect boost of hydration. 

STEP 3: APPLY

Start by filling in your bottom lip with one dip of your liquid velvet. Our liquid velvets really are a one-dip-wonder, and you'll get full colour payoff with one swipe. 

STEP 4: PRESS

Step 4: Press your lips together to distribute some of the pigment to your upper lip. This is my favourite trick for avoiding excess product.  

STEP 5: DEFINE

 Line the outer edge of your cupid’s bow while transitioning to the outer edges of your upper lip. You can use the doe-foot of your liquid velvet, or a lip brush for a more precise finish. 

STEP 6: FINISH
